Who is the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor indicated for?
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Flash Glucose Monitoring System Sensor (‘Sensor’), when used with a compatible device, is indicated for measuring interstitial fluid glucose levels in people (age 2 and older) with diabetes mellitus, including pregnant women. The Sensor and compatible device are designed to replace blood glucose testing in the self-management of diabetes, including dosing of insulin.

The indication for children (age 2 - 12) is limited to those who are supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age. The caregiver is responsible for managing or assisting the child to manage the Sensor and compatible device and also for interpreting or assisting the child to interpret Sensor glucose readings.
Can I use the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor if I live with diabetes but I’m not on insulin?
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is indicated for people with diabetes aged 2 or older. This means it can be used by anyone living with diabetes, regardless of whether their treatment includes insulin. Please consult with your healthcare professional as to whether the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is right for you.
Can I use the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor if I am diagnosed with gestational diabetes?
Yes, FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors can be used by people who are living with gestational diabetes. Please consult with your healthcare professional as to whether the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is right for you.
Can I use the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor while I am pregnant?
Yes, FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors can be used while pregnant. If you have been living with diabetes and using FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors, you can continue usage if you become pregnant. If you are diagnosed with any form of diabetes during pregnancy you can commence using FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors. Please consult with your healthcare professional as to whether FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors are right for you.
Will I still be able to access FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors after the release of the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor?
You can continue to access the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors after the release of the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor.
What insulin pumps or Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) systems will the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor work with?

What will happen to my sensor subscription when the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is released?
If you are currently purchasing FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors via a subscription plan (eg: Subscribe and Save), your subscription will not automatically change to FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors.

Upgrading your subscription plan to FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors will be simple. Just log into your customer account on FreeStyleLibre.com.au, navigate to FreeStyleLibre.com.au/Subscription and you will see an ‘Upgrade’ button. Simply click this, confirm your upgrade, and your future subscription orders will include the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor. Please note, any orders you currently have in processing and delivery will still contain the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, so please allow a few days for the change to take effect.

If you upgrade your Subscribe and Save plan to the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor, you will retain all your existing progress to receiving each 6th order free.

We will advise existing subscribers when the subscription upgrade is available.
Do I need to update my app to use the new FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor?
If you are using the latest version of the FreeStyle LibreLinkØ app, you will not have to update your app as the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is a sensor hardware update. The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is compatible with the current FreeStyle LibreLinkØ app and FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader.
Do LibreLinkUpΩ app users need to update their LibreLinkUpΩ app to continue receiving readings from their connections who are using FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors?
No. LibreLinkUpΩ app users will not have to update their app.
Are LibreLinkUpΩ app users notified that their user connection is using the new FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor?
LibreLinkUpΩ app users will receive a push notification informing them that their connection has started a new sensor. However, it will not specify whether it is the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor or FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor.

Does the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor still work with LibreView♣ and LibreLinkUpΩ app?
Yes, the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is compatible with the existing FreeStyle Libre 2 ecosystem
