MAKING THE TRANSITION TO FREESTYLE LIBRE SYSTEM
There are a few important things to know about the FreeStyle Libre system that will help you get started
WHAT DOES "NO USER CALIBRATION" MEAN?
WHAT DOES
"NO USER CALIBRATION" MEAN?
Calibration is a process that matches the glucose readings from the Sensor with a standard reference to ensure the devices are accurate.
The FreeStyle Libre sensor is factory calibrated and manufactured with minimal sensor-to-sensor variation eliminating need for finger prick calibration2,3.
The FreeStyle Libre system is clinically proven to be accurate and consistent over 14 days, without the need for finger prick calibration2.
SEE TRENDS & PATTERNS TO HELP BETTER MANAGE GLUCOSE
Instead of finger pricks1, simply swipe your phone or reader over the sensor for a painless,1 one-second scan. Each scan provides a current glucose reading, a trend arrow, and an 8-hour history.

DAILY PATTERNS
a graph showing the pattern and variability of your sensor glucose over a typical day.

TIME IN TARGET
displays percentage of time your sensor glucose readings were within, above or below your Target Glucose Range.

LOW GLUCOSE EVENTS
shows readings when your glucose is lower than 3.9 mmol/L for longer than 15 minutes, in 4 different 6-hour periods per day.

4.The FreeStyle LibreLink app is only compatible with certain mobile devices and operating systems. Please check our compatibility guide for more information about device compatibility before using the app.
5. The FreeStyle LibreLink app and the FreeStyle Libre reader have similar but not identical features. A finger prick test using a blood glucose meter is required during times of rapidly changing glucose levels when interstitial fluid glucose levels may not accurately reflect blood glucose levels or if hypoglycaemia or impending hypoglycaemia is reported by the FreeStyle LibreLink app or when symptoms do not match the FreeStyle LibreLink app readings.
