What is Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)?

Libre 2 Plus is a CGM. It is worn on the back of the arm for 15 days where it continuously measures your glucose levels, automatically sending them to your smartphone,55 giving you instant feedback on how food, exercise and medicine impact your glucose levels.

Single App Setup with the Omnipod® 5 System

Use the Omnipod® 5 App to start your FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor, instantly connecting the sensor to the Omnipod® 5 System so it is ready to begin automated insulin delivery.

Optimising connectivity between
your Pod and your sensor

Keeping both devices within ‘line of sight’ optimises their connectivity.
Line of sight means the devices are worn in a way that they can “see”  one another without your body blocking their communication.

  1. Same arm as sensor (at least 2.5cm / 1 inch apart)
  2. Back of the opposite arm

  5. Side of thigh, same side as sensor
  6. Front of thigh, same side as sensor (not pictured in diagram)
  7. Abdomen, same side as sensor (not pictured in diagram)

^The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is authorised for use with the Omnipod® 5 automated insulin delivery system. For use of the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensors with Omnipod® 5, refer to the labelling provided with Omnipod 5.

The Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is indicated for use by individuals with Type 1 diabetes mellitus in persons 2 years of age and older. The Pod has an IP28 rating for up to 7.6 metres (25 feet) for 60 minutes. The Omnipod® 5 Controller is not waterproof.

The Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is a single hormone insulin delivery system intended to deliver U-100 insulin subcutaneously for the management of type 1 diabetes in persons aged 2 and older requiring insulin. Refer to the Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System User Guide and www.omnipod.com/en-au/what-is-omnipod/omnipod-5 for complete safety information including indications, contraindications, warnings, cautions, and instructions.
