What you need to know
Libre 3 Plus is available for Australians with type 1 diabetes who are using the mylife Loop system (mylife YpsoPump with mylife CamAPS FX). It is not currently available as a standalone sensor. More information about Libre 3 Plus in Australia.

How to apply the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor
- Before you apply the sensor
- The back of the arm is the recommended and approved application site.
- Do not use body lotion or cream where you'll apply the sensor, as they may leave an oily residue on your skin.
- Body hair can interfere with sensor adhesion. Choose an area with the least hair or consider shaving the site.
- Prepare your skin
- Wash Only use non-moisturising, fragrance-free soaps to wash the area where you'll apply the sensor.
- Clean Use an alcohol wipe to disinfect the site. Please note, alcohol wipes aren't included with FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors.
- Dry Allow your skin to fully dry (do not blow on it). This may require a little time, depending on the temperature and humidity of your environment.
- Prepare the sensor
- Remove the applicator from the box.
- Unscrew the cap of the sensor applicator. Don't put the cap back on, as it may damage the sensor.
- Apply your sensor
- Place the sensor applicator over the prepared site and push down firmly to apply the sensor to your body.
- Gently pull the sensor applicator away from your body. The sensor should now be attached to your skin. You can cup the sensor for 10 seconds to improve adhesion.

- Prepare the sensor
- Peel back and remove the lid from the sensor pack.
- Unscrew the cap of the sensor applicator. You will hear a click.
- Align the line on the sensor applicator with the line on the sensor pack.
- On a flat surface, firmly push the sensor applicator onto the sensor pack. IMPORTANT: This must be performed on a flat surface for proper sensor connection.
- Remove the sensor from the sensor pack. The sensor is now attached and ready for application.
- Apply your sensor
- Place the sensor applicator over the prepared site and push down firmly to apply the sensor to your body.
- Gently pull the sensor applicator away from your body. The sensor should now be attached to your skin. Make sure the sensor is secure.
The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus System is indicated for measuring interstitial fluid glucose levels in people (aged 2+) with diabetes.

The mylife CamAPS FX App is used to manage glucose levels in people with type 1 diabetes (including type 1 diabetes pregnancy), aged 1 year and older, using a hybrid closed-loop approach. Approved for people with type 1 diabetes aged two years and over when used in combination with FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus.
